May 1 - June 30, 2008: 24th Annual Bootheel Regional Art Guild Fine Art Show The Sikeston Cultural Development Corporation (SCDC) along with the Missouri Arts Council will sponsor the Bootheel Regional Artists 2008 Annual Judged Fine Arts Exhibition. The competition will be held at The Depot Museum at 116 West Malone Avenue in Sikeston. All artists, 18 years or older, living within 100 miles of Sikeston are invited to participate. Artists may enter up to three paintings or works of art at $10.00 each or three entries for $25.00. Entry fees will be applied to prize money. Cash awards will be presented for Merit, Excellence, Best of
Show, and People’s Choice. The categories will be:
Art must be original, appropriately framed and wired for hanging. Sawtooth hangers will not be accepted. Oils must be completely dry. Pastels, watercolors and graphics must be under glass or plexiglas. Art can be no larger than 48” in either direction. SCDC reserves the right to reject any entry not suitable for public exhibition. Entries must be delivered to and registered at The Depot on Monday, April 28, 2008 between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Artists, their guests and the public are invited to a reception at The Depot on Sunday, May 4, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Awards will be presented at 2:00 p.m. The exhibit will remain at The Depot until June 29.
